  • IT workshops, usually first Wednesday of the month, 10:30 am

  • Book Discussion Group, third Tuesday of the month, 1 pm

  • Knitting & Needle Work Group, second and fourth Thursday of the month, 11:30am

  • Pottery Section, Thursdays, 10-12 with demonstrations on the second Thursday of the month

  • Choral Singers, Thursdays, 9:45-11 am

  • Personal Investing, second Wednesday of the month, noon

  • Philanthropy Committee, fourth Monday of the month, 11 am

  • Thrift and Operation Bookshelf, Monday and Thursday mornings

  • Food pantry drives, usually third Tuesday of the month

  • Games and popup events occur on a regular basis

  • Sunday, September 15, 2 pm, theater outing, “Tootsie” Curtain Call, Stamford, Conn.

     October

  • Thursday, Oct. 24, 9 am, Pottery Section day trip to West’s Ceramic Supply; lunch

     

    November

  • Thursday, Nov. 7, 2 pm, Art Section business meeting and lunch, with “Show and Tell.” Members can bring and discuss a piece of art they own — who created it, why they like it, etc.

  • Friday, Nov. 8, 12 pm, Home & Garden Section business meeting and lunch, Crabtree Kittlehouse.

  • Friday, Nov. 15, 7 pm, Showtime, Dance Theater of Harlem Purchase

  •  Monday, Nov. 18, 2 pm, World Cultures & Travel Section, Gizem Ceylan will present a program on her native Turkey. 

  • Wednesday, Nov. 20, 12:30 pm, Literature Section business meeting & lunch. Member Barbara McKinnon, author of "She Found Her Voice," about her artist/activist mother; and poet Harriet Shenkman, author of “Wonder Wheel.”

  • Thursday, Nov. 21, 2 pm, Music Section business meeting followed by a performance by pianist Sandro Russo, acclaimed for his distinctive style.

     

    December

  • Wednesday, Dec. 3, 12 pm, Food & Dining Section members will convene at Greca Mediterranean Kitchen in White Plains for brief business meeting and lunch.

  • Saturday, Dec. 7, 6-9 pm, Gala Candlelight Dinner.

  • Thursday, Dec. 19, 11 am, Showtime, “Hairspray,” White Plains Performing Arts Center.

  • Friday, March 14, 1 pm, Music Section meeting followed by performance by renowned pianist Dr. Sandor Szabo.

  • Thursday, March 20, 12:30 pm, Philanthropy fundraiser luncheon.

  • Tuesday, March 25, 2 pm, World Cultures & Travel Section meeting: Dr. Janice Perlman will describe the challenges and accomplishments of three generations of families living in the squatter settlements (favelas) in Rio de Janeiro. 

  • Wednesday March 26, 12:30 and 2 pm, Literature Section lunch followed by members reading poetry and prose they've written or admire.
